2015 Luminous Hills Estate Grown Pinot Noir
The Luminous Hills "silver label" in this extraordinarily early, warm and yet highly balanced vintage is a nineteen-barrel selection from a broad range of the diverse elements of the Luminous Hills vineyard, including six blocks, four clones (Pommard, 777, 667, and 115), and two soil types (Willakenzie sedimentary and Jory volcanic). This wine is always the "big picture" story of what Luminous Hills is all about and in the stunning 2015 vintage that means a rich, deep wine with many layers, but still with the signature elegance of Luminous Hills. 25% whole cluster fermented and barrel aged sixteen months in all French cooperage (20% new consisting of Cadus Allier, Marsannay Allier, Billion Vosges, and Remond Bertrange) for sixteen months.

2014 Luminous Hills Estate Grown Pinot Noir
By the time it was over, 2014 was the warmest vintage on record, but surprisingly one with characteristics that, counter to the relatively high temperatures, provided qualities for balance and verve to accompany richness and depth in the wines. Those characteristics included an early start, a generous crop (carrying more fruit slowed down sugar development and acid depletion). The 2014 "silver label" Luminous Hills blend is a seventeen-barrel selection from a broad range of the diverse elements of the Luminous Hills vineyard, including six blocks, four clones, and both volcanic and sedimentary soil types present in the vineyard. This wine represents the "big picture" story of what Luminous Hills was all about in the 2014 vintage: an elegant, complex, and layered wine.

2015 Luminous Hills Estate Grown LUX
Even warmer than the year prior, 2015 was a new warmest vintage on record, but surprisingly one with characteristics that, counter to the relatively high temperatures, provided qualities for depth, richness, complexity and balance rarely seen in any vintage. Those characteristics included an early start, a generous crop (carrying more fruit slowed down sugar development and acid depletion). The Lux is derived from six barrels selected out of the southwestern blocks of Luminous Hills; with an emphasis on the lower elevation Pommard on sedimentary soil providing the darker fruit profile complemented with brighter elegant red fruit qualities from the 777 at higher elevation on Jory volcanic soil. The Lux is a rich, hearty, and lusty Pinot Noir imbued with dark fruit, rich texture, spiciness and balancing focused red fruit. 33% whole cluster fermented and barrel aged in all French cooperage.

2015 Luminous Hills Estate Grown ASTRA
The 2015 Astra is drawn from six barrels in the northeastern blocks at Luminous Hills, and from equal parts of the 667 and 115 clones. The predominantly morning sun influence of these blocks deliver more ethereal nuanced qualities, with dark tone underpinnings, spice and structure from the 115 clone planted on the lower elevation sedimentary soil. Dramatic aromatics are the signature of the Astra each year that it is made. 16.7% whole cluster fermented and Barrel aged in all French cooperage.
